Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb. Sydney. Australia.
Contracted by the engineering team at Bridgeclimb Sydney to realise a new fall restraint device and a new discovery climb route. Tasked with developing a new fall restraint device that centralised maintenance and eliminated noise pollution. A self-guiding stainless steel bracket and sacrificial oil-impregnated slide were developed, prototyped and produced for the iconic tourist attraction. Significantly reducing on bridge maintenance and eliminating noise pollution as required. The new climb route required detailed feasibility studies, route planning and close coordination with the local government to gain approval. Due to the impact on original bridge elements, multiple presentations were developed to gain consent before finalising the design and engineering details with the client.
